Last week SEVENTEEN made their comeback with a special album (which is technically a repackage of Teen,Age), and I was thinking between writing a full review and just including in 아주 작은 Review segment. Well, as you can see, I ended up writing a full review, because there are a lot of things you can usually say about Seventeen’s music.
Although I won’t lie – it took some time for me to absorb the song.

I honestly thought SEVENTEEN would drop a ballad kind of track, but nope, they managed to surprise me with their producing skills again. This song heavily reminded me of BTS’s I need you (it doesn’t mean they copy each other, but the song progression is similar).
I’m not sure if I’ll eventually super love this song because, as I stated many times before, I have a thing with songs for fans. I’m a casual SEVENTEEN listener, so, even considering how the song was excellently produced, I won’t be able to love it to the fullest due to the fact that I’m not a part of Carat fandom.
But there are numerous elements that I loved about the song, including the Joshua-Jeonghan beginning parts, hip-hop unit rap parts (especially S.Coups part), then how they took a delay before main chorus drop, then S.Coups’ bridge part (I died there, honestly), and the ending part of the instrumentals. The main chorus (when it drops) was a li-i-itle but too much for my ear, but that’s because I personally am picky with dubstep/EDM drops.
The video sequence and the choreography was outstanding, as expected from SEVENTEEN. Especially loved JUN’s solo part in the empty coffee shop, and how The8 was in the center during second chorus dance.
I honestly still heavily prefer Clap over Thanks, due to the nature of songs and my own music preferences.
Title track – 7/10
