My 8 most favorite K-pop albums of 2018

After completing my Top 18 K-pop songs of 2018 list the other day, I thought that I can’t just leave out the album evaluations, and so, here’s my quick list of 8 most beloved albums of 2018. I must say, there are few EPs that impressed me more in its overall composition and completion than the included tracks on their own, so there will be titles you never saw coming because they weren’t on my mentioned Top 18 list.

Shall we dig in?

Comeback from hiatus + Favorite releases of summer 2018!

Well hello, fellow k-pop fans!

It’s truly been a while since my last blog entry. Like I announced on Twitter, I took a break to focus on exams I had to take in order to prepare my application documents for Masters program. Unfortunately, I didn’t get enough scores, so I’m gonna take another one in two more weeks, but since it’s less pressuring for me, I thought that it’s perfect time to slowly come back to blogging. I feel more energetic (guess the pun) than before, and so I’m ready to strike again with reviews and discussion posts!

But first of all, let me just thank you all for staying with me. Even during my 2-month hiatus, my visit stats have remained stable, and this was the biggest surprise. Usually all your traffic comes from the frequency of new content, and seeing how the number of views on my pages stays relevant throughout my break makes me want to work even harder on all the future content. Thank you very, very much. I highly appreciate all of your support.

Now, onto revealing my short list.
Obviously, it will be impossible for me to review every single release that I’ve missed, so instead, I’ll be doing a quick list of new songs I loved so much I destroyed the replay button (hahahahaha). Mostly I listened to title tracks of all releases, the only exceptions when I took time to listen to the rest of the album were Leo, Sunmi, Jeong Sewoon, iKON, Oh My Girl, LOONA and Dreamcatcher’s minis. I chose 13 tracks (10 title and 3 b-sides) for this quick list, as 13 is my lucky number. All songs are listed in release order.

[Rina’s List] Top songs of 2018 so far (1st half)

We’re already halfway into 2018! Time surely flies really fast.
Have you been enjoying the K-pop releases so far? I am for sure, as I can witness a stable transition from last year’s trendy sounds to new experimental music, and, of course, I’m enjoying every single bit of that movement. So how about we check out my personal lists for the first half of the year? ^__~

I’ll be doing two lists, one for title tracks, and one for B-sides, because we all know that in majority of situations B-sides become the main gems of album releases. Let’s go?

[Opinion] Top 10 best produced songs: NU’EST / NU’EST W edition (subjective!)

I’ve talked about my 10 most favorite NU’EST songs (to be honest, I couldn’t help myself with the excessive fangirling in mentioned post), and since I’ve always been picky with songs I listen to (I have sensitive ears), I’m pretty sure that even without any musical theory knowledge, it is possible to figure out which songs are well produced/made, and which are… let’s just say, not living up to expectations.

Let’s go to my list?

[Opinion] My Top 10 most favorite songs: NU’EST / NU’EST W

Less than one month is left before NU’EST’s 6th anniversary, and I’ve always wanted to make these kind of lists for those artists I frequently listen to, so here I present the first list.

Here’s the thing: NU’EST doesn’t have a bad song at all. Their full discography is one of those few made of gold, and the fact they’ve been overshadowed for so long, when they had the best gems possible, still breaks my heart. Lucky that we now can witness their rise in the industry, and that more and more people are appreciating their high quality music.

Let’s go and see which tracks have been my most favorite ever since I rediscovered and started stanning these talented kids.

My top best K-pop albums of all time

Hey there!

So as my blog is slowly growing, and I’m pretty much establishing myself here (again, lol), I thought that I should make more of my preference lists so readers can know my tastes better (and maybe? – be able to suggest exactly the things I might love), so today I’ll list (and this list will be regularly updated) my forever favorite K-pop albums of all time.

Will highlight the songs definitely worth checking out in all listed albums.
